About us
A global movement to end plastic pollution in our lifetime.
Untrash The Planet exists because the world cannot afford another decade of plastic pollution destroying our oceans, choking communities, and overwhelming ecosystems.
We’re here to change that - with action, advocacy, and innovation.
"It has to start somewhere. It has to start sometime. What better place than here. What better time than now."
Rage Against The Machine.

Where It Began
Where It Began
Untrash The Planet was founded in 2025 by social entrepreneur and philanthropist Mike Smith, following more than a decade working to eliminate single-use plastics.
This journey started in 2019 with Zero Co, a pioneering zero-waste personal care and cleaning brand that helped remove millions of plastic bottles from the environment.
But the deeper Mike went, the clearer the truth became: cleanups alone can’t solve the plastic crisis.
We need a global, coordinated movement capable of tackling plastic at every stage - from the products we buy, to the policies that govern waste, to the materials we use in the first place.
Untrash The Planet is that movement.

Why We Exist
Why We Exist
Plastic pollution is not an ocean problem -it’s a system problem.
So our mission focuses on two pillars:
1. Cleanups
Removing the plastic already polluting our oceans, rivers, and beaches.
2. Advocacy & Policy Lab
Pushing governments and industries toward less plastic packaging, smarter policies, and real accountability.
